Why Indian Abacus?

  1. The generic tool - Abacus was developed and used for centuries and progressively improved in different times and countries.

  2. Lack of focus on improvements required made it continue in the current design.

  3. With vast experience and expectations of passing generations of the students, Company did undertake to do an enormous amount of research and development activities, especially on instrument based research.

  4. The Abacus in which way this can be improved to help the students attain the most speed with accuracy.

  5. The Research papers and the articles appeared in the House Journal (Monthly), made aware the Indian readers about the Abacus, and the necessity to invent an improved version.

  6. The continuous research and search for an improved version of Abacus resulted in long drawn out work which culminated in designing and making of the Indian Abacus.

  7. The Indian Abacus would reveal in detail how much more the children could benefit from this new version and its training.

  8. The making of the Indian Abacus necessitated continuous backend work in designing which underwent series of changes to make the Indian Abacus a reality finally. Indian Abacus is now born.

The Plan And The Purpose

  1. The Abacus tool usage is aimed at to enhance the brain skill - Concentration. Concentration is the strong skill of a child to focus on any object (visualize

  2. The superiority of the Indian Abacus is due to the outstanding features it has, to help the student to have the best of imaging / visualizing possibilities.

  3. Indian Abacus, is the most advanced version and highly innovative in its design characteristics compared to the currently used Abacus.and / or a sound-based (Listening/auditory) input.

  4. In learning to do Abacus based calculations using the physical abacus, the children strengthen to visualize the images first.

  5. The children strengthen their Listening skills also through prolonged practice to do listening based calculations.

  6. Progressive learning and continued practice in doing Abacus based calculations makes the children perfect their main skill of CONCENTRATION and also their sub-skills Visualization and Listening.

  7. Visualization skill is the first one the child practicing Abacus calculations develops.

  8. It is followed by the Listening skill also when the child starts focusing on / concentrating on doing listening based calculations. Listening based calculations are done only by employing visualized images.

  9. It is therefore that Abacus based calculations revolve around Visualization as the Primary skill.

  10. Visualization or imaging has to have images of objects to capture - whether the process of calculations is physical abacus based or mental abacus based.

  11. Instead of the objects which are dull/opaque, Bright Colours add new dimensions to visualization and strengthen visualization in a great measure leaving strong impressions for Visual memory. This has been achieved in the Indian Abacus.

  12. The concentration skill of a child, apart from enabling to visualization and listening, also helps the child to focus on the inner recesses of the brain (mind), processing of the Input and bringing out the output (answer), after following the required steps to achieve the same.

  13. Indian Abacus with its augmented & specialized features makes the Abacus more complete in its agenda to develop Visualization skills of a high order, as visualization is the most required & essential skill for the brain to work most effectively.

  14. Visualization is, therefore, an essential skill required to perfect visual, auditory and working memory.
Indian Abacus with its unique features, advantages and benefits makes the Abacus now in current use look far behind when compared to skill delivery.
