The plan and the purpose:
The Indian Abacus Digital is the most advanced version of the regular Abacus tool used manually for calculation purposes in different countries. The generic tool - Abacus was developed and used for centuries and progressively improved in different times. Abacus thus evolved from the most primitive design centuries ago to the current design of it. The current design of the Abacus also has been in use for a few centuries now and found to be accepted as the most suitable design in China, Japan and other countries including India. Lack of focus on improvements required made it to continue in the current design.
The Abacus tool usage is aimed at to enhance the brain skill Concentration - a broader skill, which can be practiced and perfected by children. Concentration is the strong skill of a child to focus on any object (visualize) and / or a sound-based (Listening/auditory) input. In learning to do Abacus based calculations using the physical abacus, the children strengthen to visualize the images first. The children strengthen their Listening skills also through prolonged practice to do listening based calculations.
Progressive learning and prolonged practice in doing Abacus based calculations makes the children perfect their main skill CONCENTRATION and also their sub-skills Visualization and Listening. Visualization skill is the first one the child practicing Abacus calculations develops. It is followed by the Listening skill also, when the child starts focusing on / concentrating to do listening based calculations. Listening based calculations are done only by employing visualized images. It is therefore that Abacus based calculations revolve around Visualization as the Primary skill derived using abacus based calculations. Visualization or imaging has to have images of objects to capture whether the process of calculations is physical abacus based or mental abacus based. Instead of the objects which are dull / opaque, bright Colours add new dimensions to visualization and strengthen visualization in a great measure leaving strong impressions on the brain cells for Visual memory.
The concentration skill of a child, apart from enabling to visualizeafter looking at the printed numbers or visualizeafter listening to the called out numbers, also helps the child to focus on the inner recesses of the brain (mind), processing of the input and bringing out the output (answer), after following the required steps to achieve the same.
Indian Abacus Digitalwith its augmented & specialized features makes the Abacus more complete in its agenda to develop Visualization skills of a high order, as visualization is the most required & important skill for the brain to work most effectively.Visualization is, therefore, the most essential skill required to perfect visual, auditory and working memory. Indian Abacus - Digital with its special features, advantages and benefits makes the conventional abacus now in current use lagging far behind in skill delivery.
